Battlax 2

Battlax 2 Preview

Well, I've decided to return to creating stuff for Carmageddon 2 and in doing so, chose to make a new
version of the Battlax. I've done quite a bit to it, of which many are a fist for me. How fitting, considering
the orginal Battlax was my first vehicle for Carma2!

Download available in the Gaming section.

Update: COMPARAMATICO
Version1+Version2

Two recent happenings

First off, I've started working on my car. Got parts stripped off for painting and a windshield on order.

Second, I was laid off of my job at the Salvation Army. Due to finances, the needed to sell the truck, of
which was the reason for my job. Though this upset me, I relized this meant I could get a greater job,
rather than trying to stay with them and trying to get a second part time job that worked around ny schedule.

Excellent

Awesome.

THATS how I felt today.

Now if only I could figure out why I did and apply it to more days.

Dragaon Update

As previously mentioned, I wasn't totaly satisfied with the restyling of the Dragon 6x6 drawing I did.
After some thought, I gave it new headlights and front bumper, along with adding to the grill.
I also decided to change the name. I wanted something more different while still relating to dragons.
So, after some searching, I found the Basilisk, a loin-headed dragon with a turtle shell and six stubby legs.
Seemed pretty fitting. Plus, it went well with the word Six.

What do you think, are the changes an improvement?

1917 Ford Model T 4x4

I can understand how people may think that four wheel drive systems haven't been around as long as the mass-produced vehicle,
probably thinking no earlier than the 1940's, considering the Willys Jeep. As for me, I know of the Spyker 60HP race car and
the Four Wheel Drive Company trucks, but 4wd conversions for Model Ts?
That I did not know of untill yesterday.
I had found a random image of an original looking Ford Model T with four wheel drive and a visible front drive axle, but there was no info with it. I had to know more.
After searching, I discovered not only more info on the vehicle in the picture, but that the 4wd system was available back then.
A man named Jesse Livingood created and marketed a four wheel driver conversion kit for Model Ts, starting in 1914.
Furthermore, his son started reselling these kits in the 1980s, using his dad's orginal tooling.
For more info on this, along with the pictured vehicle I mentioned, go here.

My searches finaly brought me to this fun video:

Whats happening

Ok, I know I said I would be keeping up on this site more often but I was busy for a while.
Anyways, we managed to get our stuff back last January, thanks to finding a cheaper truck rental and help from many friends.
This includes my Arrow, but it still not back on the road. However, a friend is going to help me work on it this spring/summer.
My job is going well, working in the Salvation Army Thrift Store and driving thier truck. However, I am looking at taxi driving,
as they may be able to work around the part time hours of my current job.

In the meantime, I made a new version of my International Flatbed drawing:

Speaking of drawings, I haven't been sure of the previous restyling of the Dragon 6x6 truck that I did.
If you have any constuctive criticism on how I could improve it, please let me know.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

May God bless all of you with good luck in the New Year!

AlexArt

Here's a little something I'm going to start doing again, on the side of my job(driving the Salvation Army truck and working in the store).

Also, I forgot to post a link to Fine Art America, were I have uploaded a number of my photos.

Hard Times

I've moved all the older news articles into an archive. The link is found at the bottom of this frame.

Now,I know that I've said I'd keep up on my web site a lot more, but things have gotten hard the past while. I lost my job and the only one I was able to get I was part time...very part time(I would have been lucky to get a few hours a month). The same thing happened to my Dad, also. We moved to a lower cost house and got assistance. Unfortunately, Those didn't help much. We then decided to use what money we had and moved to a different city in another province.

I didn't have any home internet for some time(we were even homeless for a month as we looked for a place), so it was difficult to keep up on my site. Plus, we had to put much of our belongings in storage, so I didn't even have a computer for a while. However, things have been greatly improving. New friends, new jobs, new opportunities(plenty!), new home(well, an apartment, but still), and more! We recently even got internet hooked up! Now, hopefully, I can keep up on my web site!
Things are improving and I'm feeling a lot better.

I do miss my car, though. Someday, I'll get it here.

Dragon 6x6 Drawing Revisit

I had previously redesigned my "Dragon 6x6" truck, but I had made mistakes in the drawing.
After having made a "turnabout" drawing to get a better look at the truck, I eventualy went
back and fixed the drawing, making many improvements. Unlike last time, I spent much time
going over and over it to make sure I got any mistakes and anything that was or would have
bugged me. So, hopefully I got all the kinks out. What do you think? Cick the image to view.

MOW MAH BLANES1!

I forgot to post this yesterday.
OW
I guess thats what happends when you got an arrow through the brain.

Just a simple little Halloween costume I made from straws, paper, cardboard, styrofoam, tape, glue, and paint, along with some wire and fishing line to hold it on.
Got the idea from an old gag and Team Fortress 2.

What's happenin

I told myself that I would do more with my site this time around, but I put it up and got into a frikin funk.
...sigh...

On the other hand, I did do some drawing and I may even try making a painting of it.
I've mostly been busy trying to come up with a business. Still doing research, but it's getting there. I was thinking of doing something in the sense of a catering truck/hot dog cart that served soup, sandwich and coffee, but I'm falling back on an older idea for a coffee/sandwich/art shop. I thought the catering cart would be simpler and cheaper, but the more I look into it, the less it seems to be. Besides, if the coffee/sandwich/art shop is succesfull, I can later do the catering cart on the side. It would probably be better to have both anyways. After all, I'd have the shop to do more art and the cart to get outside more.

Yay! New Site!

I have finaly finished my new personal website and got up up and running!
Thanks to Toshiba(a friend's online nickname) for giving me a place to put my site! I know it took me a while to get it done, but I'm using it now!
Just look near the top, you will see what I have at my site. Just use one of the menus to navigate.

I am going to try my best to keep up on my site this time around. I plan to start posting my thoughts and finds here, sorta like a blog or journal.

I have found a commenting system and I'm giving it a try. Let me know what you think of my new site and report any problems you come across. You can also do so on the images in the Pictures section, through the use of ImageShack.

Oh, and if you know of a good "visitor/stat counter" I could use on my site, please let me know.
Update: After some research and taking, I found a good counter. SiteMeter
